Intermediate I & II- Pre-Professional Academy

Flames & Luminaries

Ages 11-18, by audition only

The Intermediate level curriculum-based program is designed for the 11 to 18 year old dedicated dance student who is hungry for more aggressive and focused training. The syllabus offers intensive training for the aspiring ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, ballroom & partnering student. Dancers are placed by audition in one of our two intermediate levels based on current skill set and ability.  Flames and Luminaries are challenged to use proper technique in forming a larger dance vocabulary on the dance floor and in using correct, more advanced technique and terminology.

The Pre-Professional Academy at the intermediate level has 3 main curriculum tracks. Each track has minimum class requirements for participation. Placement in Flames/Luminaries is based on an area of focus and requires DDA staff approval. For detailed information, or to request an audition, please register.
