Sarah Dayley – Company Directory
“We began in humble beginnings (our garage studio) and quickly grew to capacity.”
Dayley Dance Academy was founded by Mark & Sarah Dayley in Vancouver, WA. Sarah has been teaching & coaching local area dancers and dance teams since 1996.
How we began (2007)
In 2007 a persistent parent group urged Sarah to open a studio that could provide more intensive technique classes to go beyond the dance team season. We began in humble beginnings (our garage studio) and quickly grew to capacity. We have now expanded to reach not only East Vancouver, but also Camas/Washougal, serving two locations.
Our Second Location (2011)
In spring of 2011, we opened our second dance studio location in Washougal Washington and have been warmly welcomed by the area schools & community. This studio is growing quickly, and we’ve been asked to perform and participate in many local events, parades & venues.
Expansion & Remodeling 2014
Our continued growth at both location, has inspired us to double our size & add 2 oversized studio spaces to our Washougal Dance Studio Location. We’ll now have 3 studios in one location, and be able to run 3 rehearsals at a time. This new expansion will allow us to increase our class & curriculum offerings.
Unique Performances (2014)
- Spring 2014 we were invited back for a 3rd time, to perform on Disneyland stages, and this time we took 80+ performers.
- Many of our dancers were cast in, Illumination Dance Company’s 2014 show, “Opera House”.
Adding Theater Dance/Vocal & a performance Show Choir (2014)
Some of our curriculum and dance programs have been pushing the edge of theater & vocal performing arts, and now we are offering a full curriculum for Theater Dance, Vocal, & Show Choir. Our curriculum is designed specifically for artists who want to add this dimension of performance quality to their training. Look for upcoming performances to see this new program in action.
“We pride ourselves on our top-notch instructors, unique choreography, & dedicated dancers”
